Everyone is doing NFC enabled games with collectible action figures these days – you have Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and even Nintendo entering the fray with their Amiibo line of collectibles.

Bandai Namco wants a piece of that money train as well, and they’ve revealed their own NFC enabled game, on Playstation 3 and Wii U.

Featured above and below, we’ve gotten word of a game adaptation from the popular Japanese TV show Kamen Rider, dubbed simply Kamen Rider: SummonRide.

Kamen Rider: SummonRide functions similarly to other NFC enabled games in that you go out to a shop, spend your hard earned money to get those coveted NFC enabled action figures, and then return home to slap them onto the reading device.

Upon placing your shiny new Kamen Rider figure onto the proprietary reader, the character is loaded into the game, enabling you to just go to town and do all kinds of things in game.

Each figure naturally has his or her own special attributes associated with them, and they run the gamut of elements such as water, fire, wind, light, or darkness. Coming from this, you’ll have to strategically use the proper Rider for each battle, as well as the proper Rider to progress through certain areas of levels.

You can even link together Riders to increase their power!

Alongside linking together two figures to further empower them, you can also embed one of two different types of chips into the reader that you place the figures onto. The first chip, the Kyouka Ride Chip, lets the player transform the various Riders into new forms. The second, the Nakama Ride Chip, lets the player call forth a support character.

Just like the other NFC game franchises, Kamen Rider: SummonRide is coming with a retail bundle that comes with the game, the reader stand, three Rider figures, and four chips. Trust me, there will be loads of future releases for you to blow your money on.

Kamen Rider: SummonRide is launching in Japan sometime this December for both the PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
