On this, the anniversary of Shadowrun’s release, Harebrained Schemes founders Jordan Weisman and Mitch Gitelman let loose the news that the critically acclaimed expansion to their kickstarter CRPG is getting a stand-alone director’s cut. Not only that, but the new version, which will expand on the already robust storyline of the original, will be available free to anyone who has backed the project or already owns the original Dragonfall.

According to a post on their Kickstarter page, the Director’s cut should be ready sometime this September, with a formal announcement (and more details) coming next month. For now, all we know is that the stand-alone version to Dragonfall will be hitting GOG, Steam and the Humble Store, so regardless of your digital platform of choice, you should be ready to run the shadows this September with the rest of us.
