Sorry Europeans, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is Digital Only in Your Region

oreshika tainted bloodlines 07-21-14-1

We’ve known that Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is coming to both North America and Europe, but we haven’t had confirmation of whether or not the game would get a full retail release in either territories.

This is unfortunate news for our European readers, but in a response by Sony’s own Shuhei Yoshida to a fan on Twitter, we’ve learned the title is probably going to be a digital only release in that region. This was in response to a fan posing the question:

“So OreShika and Freedom Wars will be digital only in EU, why does Sony treat its customers like this? You said these were big titles.”

After which, Yoshida responded with the flat out remark that each of the aforementioned titles are indeed big releases:

“these are big titles indeed”

For those who missed our previous report, Freedom Wars is confirmed to be a digital only title in those countries.

Twitter user Kuroko-sama continued with a plea to Yoshida, begging for a limited print run, at the very least:

“Then why don’t you support them with a proper retail release? Not everyone is able to download big games, at least print a limited run”

Lastly, Yoshida responded with the final and yet disappointing comment that fans should just deal with it:

“hope people will find a way to download these titles”

So, to our European readers and fans – are you disappointed at this prospect?

Well I’m not surprise SCEE been quite shitty with us EU for years.

The game look fun & again the risqué comes to mind she riding a ball sack with the penis cut off right.

Hmm I wonder if this title is censored. lol

Funny how many Vita games seem to be only Digital in EU and the Vita sadly only support one account

Doh oh course it is silly me, but it look like a ball sack I hope PEGI see it as a peach & not a ball sack.

But I think PEGI would see that as for ESRB don’t know if they see a peach.

The Limited print run wasnt a bad question and quite frankly I would have prefered Yoshida to give an honest answer. Its not just Sony, their are plenty of other publishers that hide behind digital only releases thinking that they’ll still get the same amount of sales. they do this not realizing that they are losing sales from consumers who refuse to go the digital route. Not all games are so rare or niche that they cant put out a small limited print, I think 10,000 units is a fair number.
