• Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed E3 2014 Hands-on Preview

    I got a chance to play Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita within Sony’s E3 2014 booth, and it was very interesting.

    In the game, your character is transformed into a being called a “Synthister”, basically a type of Vampire, and must battle other Synthisters in order to keep Akiba safe.

    The game plays like an old fashioned beat-em-up, with stripping mechanics thrown into the mix.  Apparently, Synthisters are truly weakened by public nudity.

    I didn’t get much time to really dig into the demo, but from what I played, the city of Akiba seemed kind of empty, and was littered with load times.

    However, the English voice work was actually pretty good, especially your in game sister, who seems to be obsessed with puns using bro in them. My favorite one was “Bro-ccoli”.

    Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is coming sometime this summer on Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita.
