Yacht Club Games have announced that Shovel Knight, their retro-inspired throwback to classic 2D side-scrolling action games, is finally arriving later this month.

The game will be available across the Wii U and 3DS on June 26 in North America, while the PC version is coming on the same day, internationally. Our European readers will have to wait for the game on Wii U and 3DS, as the team is currently “working through localization and ratings specific to the European region.”

Shovel Knight will be playable on the E3 show floor, inside Nintendo’s booth to be specific.
