Barcade is Getting Two New Locations in Manhattan

Barcade is a unique take on the enjoyable combination of classic, arcade gaming and drinking beer. The experience has apparently garnered a lot of love, as they have several locations in New York City, Jersey City, and even our own city of Philadelphia.

Games still only cost a quarter to play (just like good old days), but there is something new in the works at Barcade – two new locations are being added within Manhattan. The two new Barcades will be at 148 West 24 Street in Chelsea, and the second is still pending approval via a community board, but if approved will open in St. Mark’s.

The Chelsea location (featured above) will offer a host of 24 draft beer taps and even a full kitchen – however most patrons will probably come to this hot new locale for its coin-op arcade cabinets that run the gamut from the 70’s all the way to the 90’s. In case you missed it – Tapper, the game about serving various drinks, is amongst the roster of arcade cabinets you’ll see if you head there.

Have you ever been to a Barcade, and if so, which one?
