Earlier in the month we reported on the exciting news that Square Enix was releasing Final Fantasy III on PC via Steam, and that it was coming with all new visuals, new content, and so on.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a release date at the time, but now Square has come around and confirmed an official date – the upgraded port will be coming to Steam on May 27th.

If you browse the game’s Steam page, you can definitely get a good idea of the upgraded visuals the game is sporting. The game is also coming with the features that are typical to Steam releases, namely the Steam Trading Cards and Achievements.

Final Fantasy III will cost $15.99 when it launches on May 27th.
