Renegade Kid is Developing an Experimental 2D Game for the 3DS

Renegade Kid had a Kickstarter for a bold new first person shooter on the Nintendo 3DS called simply “Cult County,” a horror driven story that apparently failed to garner love from fans and newcomers alike.

The Kickstarter fell short of its $580,000 goal, raking in only 10% percent of its potential funding. This hasn’t stopped the folks at Renegade Kid, most notably their co-founder, Jools Watsham, who took to his personal twitter and tweeted about a new project:

“As part of our healing process after the KS failure, we’re developing a new experimental 2D game for 3DS. It has pixels and stuff. No cults.”

Even though they’re looking into other options for developing and funding Cult County, the game will be made regardless of what happened with the Kickstarter campaign.

Lastly, in case you’re still waiting for the 3DS remake of Moon Chronicles, their first person shooter released back in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, further news and a release date will be coming for that game later this week.
