Run Through Hordes of Zombies this May in Z-Run

Beatshapers’ new game, Z-Run, is set to arrive on the Playstation Vita in May, founder and CEO Alexey Menshikov confirmed via the PlayStation Blog.

The release date has been pushed back since the original announcement “in order to make our game bigger and better,” according to Menshikov.

Z-Run is an endless running game in the vein of classics within the genre, although it adds a twist in tasking you to survive hordes of zombies, as well as environmental obstacles. You can pick up weapons like wrenches, planks, or even an electric guitar, all of which you can use to fight zombies as you run to safety. If you keep attacking zombies, you’ll run out of stamina and get sluggish, making you an easy target.

“There are multiple routes you can take as you sprint through the city, and exploration is an essential part of survival during the undead armageddon,” Menshikov said on the Blog. “Campaign mode tasks you with working your way through the debris-strewn streets in an effort to find your way out with at least a few limbs still intact. There’s also a survival mode included, which keeps on going until the living dead finally get to feast. The more you unlock in the story, the more you get to test your skills in survival mode.”

Some of the notable games that Beatshapers worked on include BreakQuest: Extra Evolution, Furmins, and StarDrone Extreme.
