Despite Sega claiming that the recent rumor of a new Sonic game heading to next-gen consoles in 2015 was false, a flyer circulated by Sega to the press has turned up teasing that very same thing. It has been under NDA until today, when a new announcement for Sonic the Hedgehog will take place.

That flyer, pictured above, teases with the line: “Please join us to be the first to hear Sega’s exclusive announcements and plans for the Sonic brand,” and it surfaced originally on NeoGAF. The silhouettes in the background are from artwork shown off from the new Sonic Boom cartoon series.

The event will take place at noon today, with the presentation where the actual real could happen beginning at 12:30 to 1:20 PM. We’ll keep you guys posted.
