Although it’s doubtful we’ll see it on this side of the pacific, long suffering Dragon Quest fans can prolong their agony by watching the new trailer Square Enix posted on the 18th. Showing new images of both combat and exploration gameplay, the remake of this classic Gameboy RPG is looking quite good. Though like most of the recently released Dragon Quest titles, it’s chances of getting a localization are slim.

Somewhat related was the news last November that the game would ship with specially branded 3ds XL machines emblazoned with the iconic slime imagery Dragon Quest fans have come to love. No official word has been said about either the hardware or the game itself coming stateside, so only importers will get to enjoy them for the time being.
