Apotheon is an action platformer in the vein of the classics that made the genre a staple on older platforms. One of the things that stands out right away is the brilliant art style—it definitely evokes the classic Greek style seen in historical art and traces of culture.

You play as the last champion of humanity as you adventure and battle through Tartarus, eventually infiltrating Mount Olympus itself. From there you’ll be fighting the gods themselves, as they’re just plain angry at humans and must have their wrath stopped.

The game is coming with some online multiplayer modes, including deathmatch (naturally) and cooperative play. The world within Apotheon is described as a “massive open world Mount Olympus,” where the large single player campaign will take place.
