Cosmic Star Heroine is Saving the Galaxy on PC, PS4, Vita

Cosmic Star Heroine Art 1

Cosmic Star Heroine is the next game from Zeboyd Games, the guys behind the seriously awesome Cthulhu Saves the World. Zeboyd Games have just announced that the game will be launching on Playstation 4 and Vita alongside its PC and Mac release next year.

Zeboyd Games is a studio made up of two guys, they’re looking to up the nostalgia levels to maximum with Cosmic Star Heroine. The game will feature crazy catchy music by Hyperduck, gorgeous 16-bit pixel art, a deep story and meticulously balanced gameplay.

The game is described as being inspired by Chrono Trigger (art style, on-map battles, combo techniques), Phantasy Star (overall feel of the world and characters) and Suikoden (political intrigue, expandable player headquarters), which are three of my favorite RPG franchises. They’re also borrowing elements from each that made all of those franchises so special to me, so this makes me even more excited about Cosmic Star Heroine!

The game is centered around the cosmic star heroine, Alyssa L’Salle. She’s one of the top agents of the galactic government, and she has saved the galaxy on more than one occasion. Alyssa accidentally uncovers a dark conspiracy within her own government – causing her to be outed as a spy, which also gives her legions of adoring fans. Her main dilemma now is that every villain and or evil organization now knows her secret identity, so they’re all now out to finally kill her!

You can also view the game’s debut trailer below, it’s filled with all kinds of 90’s anime and video game awesomeness:

Cosmic Star Heroine will also be getting a kickstarter campaign to help make the game everything it can possibly be.

Zeboyd Games is also offering the game into Sony’s excellent cross-buy program, meaning if you buy the game for $10, you’ll get it across Playstation 4 and Vita for no extra cost.
