Famitsu has revealed the juicy story details of SEGA’s upcoming Yakuza prequel (or side-story?) featuring Kazuma Kiryu as the historical figure Ryoma Sakamoto.

Ryoma Sakamoto is a member of a plot to overthrow the Shogunate towards the end of the Edo Era of Japan. Yakuza Ishin (restoration) however, is about Ryoma seeking revenge for the swordsman who killed both his father and his master Toyo Yoshida right before his eyes.

After searching for a year and finding clues leading to Kyoto, Ryoma enters the village under the guise of captain Haijme Saito – a position that will hopefully lead to the killer.

Also, the game’s official website has gone up today with a bevy of awesome screenshots,we’ve compiled them all here for your viewing pleasure.

Even though a platform still hasn’t been announced,  producer Masayoshi Yokoyama tweeted a hint that the platform will be confirmed in this week’s Dengeki Playstation update, and that it will be coming to Playstation.

So, what do you guys think, will it be coming to Playstation 4? It sure looks pretty!
