Neverwinter Reaches 2 Million Players

Perfect World and Cryptic Studios’s MMORPG, Dungeon & Dragons: Neverwinter has reached 2 million players today. This is a great feat, because the game was in Open-Beta for only 2 months.

For those who don’t know what this game is about, it takes place in the Dungeons & Dragons universe within the Forbidden Tales campaign. It’s basically about a female elven wizard known as Valindra Shadowmantle who turned into a Lich and controls the undead. She is responsible for the attack on the city, Neverwinter.

The game is an action combat MMORPG, with a decent amount of character customization and features. They even have a feature called The Foundry, which allows players to create their own unique dungeons for other players to play through them.

I am currently enjoying Neverwinter, playing as a Devoted Cleric. The game is free-to-play, however, there are some things I do not like about this game. Your account is limited, unless you pay in the cash shop, for example, for extra character slots. The cash shop is mostly vanity items however, the prices are a bit expensive.

Also, every character/class/race has the same quest line, unless you find their “secret” class quest line. Overall, this game is fairly good, and is really new. The developers are doing a great job listening to their fan-base and are patching the game quite frequently.
