Soul Calibur II HD Online is Revealed

Namco Bandai has announced Soul Calibur II HD Online during their panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. The game is a graphically updated version of Soul Calibur II, it has all the modes from the original that launched on Playstation 2, including Heihachi Mishima as a playable character.

What’s interesting is that they refused to comment on whether or not Link from the Gamecube version or Spawn from the Xbox version would make it over. Presumably, it would make absolutely no sense for them to be able to bring Link over while Spawn may still be a possibility.

Another thing to point out – this is not related to the recent trademarking of Soul Calibur: Lost Swords that Namco Bandai recently did. The biggest addition to the game is full online play functionality, which is pretty awesome. The HD re-release will launch this fall on PS3 and 360.
