Dead Island 2 is Still in Development

It’s been literally four years since Dead Island 2 was announced and despite some development woes, Deep Silver has once again pledged the game is still coming.

The news comes via the official Dead Island Twitter account, which recently posted a blurb for the mobile spinoff Dead Island: Survivors recently launching.

A fan asked what was going on with Dead Island 2, so their social media gave an unexpected update:

“What’s going on is that it’s in development and we won’t be showing more until we’re ready. Appreciate the wait is painful, but Dead Island 2 is still coming.”

The last we heard about the game was almost a year ago, where Deep Silver basically confirmed Sumo Digital was still working on the game.

The game also had a MOBA spinoff titled Dead Island: Epidemic, which saw a beta run for about a year prior to it being shut down in 2015.

Once released, Dead Island 2 will launch across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
