Blanka Coming to Street Fighter V on February 20

Capcom has announced the release date for Blanka in Street Fighter V.

The green and furry combatant will join the game on February 20th as part of their third wave of downloadable content. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for Blanka, which also shows off his two V-Triggers.

You can purchase Blanka with 100,000 in-game Fight Money, or with $5.99. He also comes with the Season 3 DLC pass, which sets you back $29.99 and includes other characters like Sakura, Sagat, Cody, and new characters Falke and G.

Street Fighter V is now available for PC and PlayStation 4.

Only two years later. And at a price. Lol.

Going off that pack price imagine paying $60 for a fighting game with 10 characters lmao

I think he genuinely looks awful. His hair looks like play-doh, has too much fur -some of it with the same exact color as his skin- and his face looks like a cheap mask from a B-horror movie.

Though maybe he won’t be the online faceroll brain-dead Blanka from IV.

As someone that doesn’t really play fighting games, I think I speak for most non fighting game fans when I say: he wasn’t in it already?

    Sakura is in great form…

    They all look like play-doh

I was just thinking that exact same thing.

Wait a minute…he wasn’t in the game from the start? But he is like one of the main characters of the series, what on Earth is Capcom doing with SF5?.

soo…. you mean he basically looks like every other character in this roster?

  • NukeA6

Blanka can talk? That’s a first.

SFV’s art style is hit and miss for me. Some of the female characters look great, but in the case of Blanka in particular, he lost a bit of his colorful/cartoonish look, and just seems made of rubber.

he could talk in SF4. If I’m not mistaken, he could also talk in the Alpha games and comics (Basically, him speaking is nothing new)
