Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana PC Version Delayed to Unannounced Date

NIS America has further delayed the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimlsa of Dana.

The game will forgo its planned January 30th release for a currently unannounced date. The reasoning behind the delay is to further optimize the PC port, as they’re still running into issues with low framerate and memory leak problems.

The delay for the PC version will not affect the re-localization patch for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions, which is still on track for January 30th.

Here’s the entire message from NIS America:

To all of you who have been anxiously awaiting the PC release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, we have a very regrettable announcement: we are once again pushing the release to an as-of-yet indeterminate date. We sincerely apologize for this delay, and we would like to explain in detail the reason why we are proceeding with the delay. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand that many of you will be upset about this news. For that, and most importantly, for the delay, we are very sorry.

Please note, however, that this announcement does not affect the relocalization update patch planned for January 30th for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game.

Low framerate issues and memory leak problems were apparent from the earliest PC builds we received. To help combat these, we looked into the drawing processes, which lead to an overall improvement in performance. However, we are still encountering framerate drops in specific circumstances. The systems regulating these framerate issues are heavily reliant on the architecture of the original PlayStation 4 version and, as such, are not existent in PC architecture. The memory leak issues are somewhat less complicated and expected to be resolved this weekend. But in order to solve these issues, we have determined that we must modify the core level of data in the game.

As the PC version of the game was originally envisioned as a port, we avoided touching the core programming as much as possible and focused on PC performance optimization. However, in light of the feedback of those who have participated in the second beta test, we have concluded that we cannot avoid modifying the core programming.

Once the changes from the relocalization efforts have been implemented at the end of this month, we will be moving development to an entirely different developer who will primarily focus on frame rate improvements as well as other PC optimizations. Once that process begins, we will monitor the progress and determine the release schedule. We will also be sure to give regular updates to our progress.

Again, we truly regret that we underestimated the severity of the issues that have surfaced (and how long it would take to resolve them), and for that, NIS America sincerely apologizes to all of you for this unexpected delay. We are fully aware of how much our fans have been anticipating this release, and will do our very best to launch the game the way it is meant to be launched: without any issues, game-breaking bugs, or errors.

If you have made a pre-purchase on Steam and would like a refund due to this delay, please use the link provided below:

For any purchases or pre-orders made outside of the Steam channel, please contact the corresponding refund support for that channel.

Thank you very much for your understanding, support, and patience through this time.

-VP and COO, Mitsuharu Hiraoka

Would love the Y’s series to be multi-player. Also, can wait for them to fine-tune the game. A-okay here

  • totenglocke

What the fuck have they been doing for the past six months then?

  • Guest

Could have given it to X-Seed, but no. We need the localization to be a PR nightmare. I can guess that NISA got the contract over X-Seed because they promised a bunch of shit knowing they couldn’t fulfill it, and here we are now with a botched localization, multiple public apologies, and a PC release delayed to “whenever the fuck we manage to get it slapped together”.

Who wants to bet the PC version is still broken on launch anyway?

  • Eldhin Shichiou

    Hahahahahahaha i fucking knew it

  • CRES

You know the hilarious part about all this: In all the time that NIS America spent fixing their localization and getting the PC version in a state that is playable, XSEED has managed to release both Zwei games with the first one being so old that they had to practically rebuild the game so that it works on today’s PCs with modern conveniences.

Why did Falcom go with NIS America again?

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Wasn’t this supposed to be out around Christmas? Will it end up totally skipping Spring?

  • Lionhart16

Because NISA was offering what seemed to be a better deal at the time (faster localization, earlier PC Port, etc), but Falcom didn’t realized that NISA has a VERY hard time following through on it’s promises without there being at least one problem or another (take a look at The Witch and the Hundred Night for PS3 for example).

Now that they’re wiser, they’re probably gonna keep the Ys series with XSEED from now on.

  • Mea K

I sure am excited to dive into that juicy relocalization and see if they’ve actually put in the effort this time (which I seriously doubt, considering how quickly it was cobbled together).

It’s such a travesty NISA got their hands on this otherwise amazing game.

At least they’ll never get to touch a Falcom game again after this.

  • Mechonis

PLEASE DIG YOUR FUCKING GRAVE DEEPER YOU PIECES OF SHIT AND FUCK OFF FROM EVER GETTING ANOTHER FALCOM GAME

  • QFrog

It was supposed to release with the PS4 and Vita verisons but was delayed because nis is trash

  • sanic

Well uh I guess its better than putting it out broken…

  • FrankieL

Playing devil’s advocate a little: most devs absolutely hate bringing games originally made for console to PC. I’ve got several friends in the developer industry who say it’s such a pain in the ass to do. Optimization being the biggest hurdle and is the main reason why PC releases take so much longer to get released. Sometimes years after console release.

So I’m not surprised in this delay at all.

The lesson in this: if you’re waiting for a PC release of a game that’s already out for a console you actually own, just buy the console version. Otherwise you’ll likely be waiting a while. And for what? More FPS and higher resolution? Is it really worth it?

On a personal note, I still don’t know how anyone can sit at a desk hours on end playing any video game when the living room couch is so much more comfortable. But that’s just me. Either way, though, you do you and I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day. ^.^

  • Rumble Red

I’d completely forgotten, but the game’s Steam page still claims the DLC will be free for a week “upon the September 12, 2017 launch”.

What a shitshow. This might be NISA’s worst bumble yet.

  • Rumble Red

These blue-balls delays five minutes before release are happening awfully often recently.

It’s fine, though. Watching NISA choke on Ys after they stole it is worth any wait.

  • Sir Caccola

I can only hope that XSEED announces Ys Celceta for PC and actually releases it before nisa ends their work with VIII just to fuck with them now.

  • Nope Naw

You can’t be fucking serious. They’re almost an entire year overdue at this point.

I hope NISA never, EVER, gets to touch a Falcom title ever again. This has been such a monumental failure from day 1.

  • PaRaLLaXTHeTiCS

Hard to jump on this after Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

  • PaRaLLaXTHeTiCS

I agree with the point about not holding out if you have the option to jump on something right off the bat for the apparently small trade-off, but come on now, you PC gamers can play on a big screen TV if they so choose too. Nevermind that you have other options as well (like triple monitor gaming. Previous Y’s games are a perfect example here.)

  • Eldhin Shichiou

you can always connect your computer to a tv

  • iswear12

I used to love consoles back when they were plug and play machines you could play with your friends on the couch. Hell singleplayer games were still okay on the couch as well. Now though it feels like a fucking joke. Splitscreen is dead and good co-op games are few in number.
You also have mediocre experiences on consoles now compared to computers. You’re often locked to 30 FPS in a lot of cases and you have no freedom over the games. On top of this, if the game has glitches or bugs you are forced to rely on patches released through whatever company’s internet service you’re using. For PC gaming you have the advantage of fan-made patches and mods to fix issues.
Not only this but console games often now come with immense day one updates which really nullifies their advantage, and the file sizes for their games get bigger and bigger
At least on PC you can pirate repacks, though the filesize still remains an issue even then.
To pirate on a console, CFW or flash carts have to be available for it or some other crazy hacking or modding shenanigans (which is cool as fuck, I would recommend to all PC enthusiasts to get modded consoles when the emulation scene isn’t good for the console in question, such as a dreamcast or original Xbox).
Anyways yeah you just have too much freedom on PC. Doesn’t mean its perfect, but console companies are continuously shitting the bed. Bad ports can even be made into games better than what was originally on the consoles themselves with mods and patches created by the community, and it happens quite frequently.

  • iswear12

This is NISA we’re talking about here.
Don’t be “okay” with it. Show some backbone as a consumer.
if you must, import a japanese copy and patch it or some shit when the fanslation comes out, don’t give NISA money or just pirate it once the Switch gets CFW

  • Nope Naw

That would mean XSEED managed to announce AND release two Ys titles and two Zweii games in the time between Ys VIII’s original launchdate and whenever, if ever, it actually happens.

I don’t doubt they can do it either. XSEED deserved to handle VIII, but they were robbed.

  • Nope Naw

I would hope they retract NISA’s license to VIII and hand it right over to XSEED.

  • Gamegodtre

SO anyone wanna place bets on how much money they are now losing from this game?

  • uncle_alfred

Do i even want to buy this game at this point?
I want to play it, but i don’t want NISA to make any money out of this.
    Hmm… A riddle for the ages…

  • So let me get this straight. Falcom put NIS America in charge of localizing Ys VIII as NIS promised to release a PC version along side the console versions. NIS’s big plan was just to copy and paste the PS4 version to PC! And now they have to send it to a entirely different developer just to do what NIS promised to do! Fucking hell! NIS is now on my no buy list.

  • I can beat you console cuck! I have a brother that works at Nintendo! Beat that!

  • Nagato

“As the PC version of the game was originally envisioned as a port, we avoided touching the core programming as much as possible and focused on PC performance optimization. However, in light of the feedback of those who have participated in the second beta test, we have concluded that we cannot avoid modifying the core programming.”

What even is porting a game?

  • BFG

I guess the funny thing is that I found the PC platform to be not that much interesting these days (besides replaying the releases from the 90s-2000s), but I take it that my current interests lay on playing the japanese console games in their original language entirely, which the PC platform still rarely give such freedom (outside of the rare releases doing such thing, ironically NISA for instance, but screw them to be honest). There are also japanese console games that wont ever be released on PC (mainly on the fact they are exclusive to Japan) so I dont get the idea of not being an idort instead of denying consoles.

And I can agree with FrankieL’s comment on the fact developing on PC can be a pain since you have to take account of the requirements to not alienate the people who want your game but dont necessarily own a high-end hardware, thus making optimization an even more important task.

Playing on consoles have been far less a pain than playing on PC from my longtime experience too, especially that nowadays, there are still crazy shenanigans in order to fix PC releases for either reason. (My favourite meme was that I had to create a whole Administrator group to make certain games install properly in my non-English Windows)

Not only this but console games often now come with immense day one
updates which really nullifies their advantage, and the file sizes for
their games get bigger and bigger

Game files getting insanely bigger is both the fault of how common 1TB HDDs have become and the presence of dual/triple-layers bluray discs, which enable devs to bypass the whole process of compressing assets. This is sadly hilarious when you see titles like MGR and Vanquish being actually 5GB at best, but with 15-20GB of pre-rendered cutscenes. (I’m willing to bet this is the same case with Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza)

The whole digital format used by both the PC platform and consoles dont help much either when it comes to patches/updates.

  • Alex Drake

Nise needs to go and fucking die. They better stay the fuck away from Cold Steel 3 and 4

  • BFG

Serve you right, you trusted NIS America enough to pre-order the game on Steam in despite all the red flags and warnings that people have constantly preached about

  • Alex Drake

You’re deluding yourself. Nisa is incompetent beyond compare

  • i’m so sad that this amazing game is stained like this by NISA….

  • Exien

100% true nothing there to add.

  • Exien

What falcom has learned from this never make a deal with the devil again.

  • DrearierSpider

Ha, didn’t they just announced the January 30th release date a week ago or so? I’m starting to understand why NISA is universally considered a colossal fuck up (I’ve never played anything they’ve released before).

  • blackice85

    >Who wants to bet the PC version is still broken on launch anyway?

I wouldn’t bet against it, but considering that they probably got reamed by Falcom over the localization, they might be extra careful this time and actually do it right (when it’s released eventually).

  • blackice85

    That would make my day.

Pirate it. You get to play it and NISA doesn’t get money from it. Best of both worlds!

  • mewnani

Judas priest man is it really necessary to spam 6 comments in a row?

  • Don’t mind him – he’s been typing all the comments on his overpriced keyboard attachment for his PS4 controller.

  • Feniks

Ha already finished it on PS4 a month ago. Good game, Dana is cute.

Xseed only has themselves to blame. Maybe they’ll step up their game now and work faster. And stop looking down on their loyal weeb audience.

  • JohnnyCageFan2

Dude, you didn’t legit pre-order a digital game, did you?

  • JohnnyCageFan2

NISA: For all this trouble, we’ll give 50% of our profit to you for the next Ys we do.
    Falcom: Ok.

  • JohnnyCageFan2

Condolences for your brother. Unless someone from Foxconn comes along, you win.

  • JohnnyCageFan2

    > just pirate it

  • Bazzy

Welp after reading their statement i really hope they’re done for in time.
They fucked up enough and this is embarrassing for everybody involved.
I do not want to know how they are structured or how much crunch-time their employees already had..
    This iscompletely unprofessional.

  • PaRaLLaXTHeTiCS
  • JohnnyCageFan2

In 90% agreement, except for community modifications fixing dev fuck-ups (with in reason). The frame-rate should not have to be unlocked, dodgy dialogue should not be patched, and nor should bugs be fixed.

  • Bazzy

You know the localization is about to get patched on all platforms on the 30th, right? So you played the fuck up localization in any case. Sure story is not that impotent in an ys game, but the fact that the very first delay on steam was because of it speaks fucking volumes.

  • Bazzy

Yup and all the shit i read before i was logged in form “it” prompted me to finally block this “person” for fucking good. Annoying little shithead.

  • Bazzy

You mean an actual good localization with funny characters and no cringe through the whole game? Oh that is sad. I watched the whole fucking game on twitch and boy it was so bad. Glad the streamer made fun of it as well.

  • SerenityXZero

Wow alot of the comments are hostile….which I get since I have also been waiting for the pc version. However I am glad they found these issues out during the beta testing. I personally rather wait for a game that is polished and has little to no issues rather than them release it in it’s current state and then “patch” it later while people complain about it when with this we’ll hopefully have a better optimized version when it comes out.

  • Bazzy

You should look up NISA’s history of pc ports and come here again. This is the millionth time they deliver sub par work. And this case alone had what three delays now?! The first was localization, then port and now port again. It should’ve come out already at the end of last year and now this month. You have not done your research if you post stuff like this, go do it.

  • Nope Naw

I would rather they don’t make promises they can’t keep. Or more accurately in this case, promises they never intended to keep.

  • PaRaLLaXTHeTiCS

    That’s too bad.

  • BFG

Please dont post the conman ever again

  • ARoltner88

NISA didn’t expect the fan backlash would be so strong. They thought it would be a small group of complainers that the geek sheik weebs would ignore. Turns out geek sheik weebs don’t care about Ys and the dedicated fan base is large and vocal enough to make Falcom notice their collective disappointment.

  • BFG

mods and fanpatches shouldnt the answer for every issue indeed

expect also those community mods to die if paid mods ever become a thing

  • BFG

NISA still expect that people just eat the bullet, regardless of their reputation, like I could see a couple of users on Nichegamer to do so.

  • SerenityXZero

Oh I know their history and it’s sad they continue to do stuff like this. However I don’t mind games being delayed if there is a chance once it is released I’ll feel the patience was worth it and the game is solid so that I can feel it was a good purchase.

  • MusouTensei

Xseed? The main reason why Falcom gave it to NISA was because they promised a simultanious PC release, with Xseed we would have gotten a proper localization right from the beginning and a working PC port would most likely come out soon. I hope Falcom never works with NISA again.

  • MusouTensei

Wouldn’t have happened with Xseed, FALCOM!

  • BFG

Really? Not the fact it’s far pricier in general and the market is bloated with hardware which makes difficult to make the proper choices depending on how you actually plan to use your machine?

Or not the fact Windows is a pajeet-coded OS with all the random issues you can get (rot, driver issues, extremely difficult to debug, compatibility issues, unreliable updates, malware, tricky administrator rules if owning an non-english windows for instance, etc) ? At least Linux is better on that regard, but it’s not really an OS made for games in mind (even less for VNs due of certain engines simply not working on Wine) as it’s trickier to install Windows-based programs, especially without guides. At least GoG made it a lot less painful to run a good amount of older games on more recent operating systems, which I’m thankful for.

Consoles have their fault that I can admit too (especially the way digital media has been handled but that’s the fault of both types, truth to be told), but I feel like some people here dont like to speak about the drawbacks of the PC platform too however.

  • FrankieL

Didn’t know it was a competition. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Was just passing along some of my personal conversations about this topic with friends who work in the industry. Also, another little tidbit of info on PC releases: units sold for PC are sometimes only a 5th of the copies sold for the top console. So when a dev primarily makes games for console and are told they have to port it over to PC, I’d imagine the groan the devs make when being told to do so. A shit ton of work for little reward.

It’s fine if you prefer PC over console, but just make sure you know what you’re getting into as far as ports from console. You may be waiting a long time and the game may end up more broken than it’s console version out the gate. So don’t don’t get too pissy when a delay is announced. Like this one. Granted, some devs are more adept at PC porting than others, but it still takes time and a lot of development sometimes to make a PC port happen.

  • Heheheheheh.

  • You been gone for a while Vita slave. too many accounts to deal with?

  • Xseed did far more proper PC support than NIS.

  • He is a hero to kickstarters everywhere.

  • Vita fags have short attention spans so he forgot that he posted already.

  • Feniks

But does it have dual audio?

  • We get it you like fucking the Vita. Didn’t need to type a entire story. Lol

  • Uncle Ocelot

What a fucking mess this localisation has become.

  • Alex Drake

Pffff Duke Nukem forever says hi. Nisa is incompetent and Falcom should have never given them YS. Robbed Xseed

  • Alex Drake

    It won’t be.

  • Alex Drake

Xseed will have released 2+ games in the time Nisa was supposed to do YS8. The fuck are you smoking?

  • I get the feeling this’ll be a pretty big nail in NISA’s coffin. It’s one thing to absolutely ruin their own games, but to ruin the game of a franchise from a company that their own CEO is a rabid fan of, not to mention the general fan backlash they’ve gotten is far more overwhelming than any of their other previous fuckups. Get fucked NISA.

Also for the uninitiated, those who don’t understand why most of us in these comments hate NISA, here’s a handy little image. It needs some updating now of course, with this Ys VIII fiasco. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9791150b974dfbe1261ac51f6d7b3ec12800a7f8250d66c9ff6bfc8608bf6c74.jpg

  • Alex Drake

If only Falcom had done their fucking homework to see who they were getting in bed with

  • Well, they certainly know better now.

Even better to NISA’s detriment, there’s a rumor I heard that the NIS President is a massive Nihon-Falcom fan, and even keeps a PC-9800 just to play many of their old games in their full, original glory. If this is actually true, I can’t even imagine how livid he must be to see the newest Ys game get butchered by a branch of his own company.

  • Alex Drake

Hopefully heads will roll. On the other hand I would rather the contract just gets torn up completely so as to make sure these idiots don’t get their hands on Cold Steel 3 and 4

  • hopefully

  • iswear12

I don’t think the users you see that say they’d buy Ys anyways are genuine users. They’re more than likely shills.

This post is retardation at its finest

  • Chili

    Ouya?

  • Audie Bakerson

Work with NIS, on you they piss.

  • Mechonis

So laughing at a great series getting shafted is a good thing because “muh favorite box to play it on is fine”?

Fuck off with your stale b8.

  • Travis Touchdown

All PC versions are broken at launch.

  • Bazzy

This game needs a hefty price cut if i ever pick it up.
Its nearly at 60 bucks here on steam and even 30 is freaking much for all the crap they’ve done with this port already. Might buy it around 20 or even 15, depending if the localization and port quality after all this shit are on point.

  • totenglocke

“On a personal note, I still don’t know how anyone can sit at a desk hours on end playing any video game when the living room couch is so much more comfortable. But that’s just me.”

If only PCs had HDMI ports to connect to your TV… Oh, wait!

  • Exien

Never read so much shit in a reply. What i get is that a PC and Windows is far to complicated for you. Play console or learn how to use a PC properly and by the way all your bad “pionts” can be used on console aswel, so do us all a favor and go to a PC course.

  • Exien

Don’t forget Steam Link, HDMI is better but are these guys really telling us you can’t simple take your PC in your living room and turn it on there. But i love sitting at my desk you just need a comfy big chair for it.

  • BFG

I can see 5 people who cannot into reading comprehension or are just acting like passive-aggressive fanboys instead of properly retorting

  • BFG

I might be not tech-savy, but I’ve certainly more experience with computers than you do (Im also used to repair people’s computers). It’s kinda embarrassing the “PC master race” community cannot into critical thinking and yet blame users of fanboyism, all because of an elitist mentality and living in a bubble.

  • Nothing passive about it faggot. :)

  • BFG

I’ve still seen regulars having whatever hope they had towards the “fix” and a few retards (like Iscream and Gamezard) who actually bought the localization on either platform

  • Exien

I come from a “tech” heavy family my brother graduated from one of a best elite university with electronics as his major all the way to his Master degree with almost perfect Grades and is doing now his doctor in that field and i also study in the same city, so please tell me more.

    ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • BFG

Doesnt change much what I said so far though, and if you prefer ignore all the problems that the PC platform has with Windows (I didnt even get to mention that newer hardware at some point will no longer support Windows 7 which is something I’m not looking forward for), then dont come as a passive-agressive hypocrite by claiming others as fanboys.

  • Exien

Maybe he need to go to Gematsu the mods are like babysitter there so he is protected from us mean adults.

  • Exien

Passive, shit i mean of course you mighty faggot ^^. <3

  • BFG

Being an adult doesnt mean using insults as your sole method of “counter-argumenting”

  • Exien

Hard to “counter-argumenting” when you talk shit without even having arguments in the first place. We get you, you like to play on console, but don’t try and talk like you know what you are talking there. by the way you should see if someone clearly doesn’t want to hear your shit anymore. But go ahead and be my guest and amuse us even more.

  • BFG

I’m an idort who play on both PC and several consoles, even as today, as both have their advantages and drawbacks, related to my interests.

Hard to “counter-argumenting” when you talk shit without even having arguments in the first place

by the way you should see if someone clearly doesn’t want to hear your shit anymore

All the more obvious that you are actually the elitist fanboys, who have an issue with legit criticism.

  • Exien

Thank you for making my day, had a great laugh on you.

  • BFG

No need to hide you’re angry or annyoed. I’ll simply admit I’m personally a bit annoyed at the lack of a proper conversation or debate that should have taken place.

Guess you guys need to be more open-minded after all.

Aww come on, all this hate… be more supportive ! NISA is learning what QC is… it’s so new for them, they are freaking out right now ! I can understand that much after all the crap they released.

I believe they can change and bring good quality localisations, who’ll take that bet ? ;p

  • tccboss

at this point you might as well just have Xseed re-localize it.

  • tccboss

NOW on your “now buy” list?

  • tccboss

There will be hell to pay if that happens.

  • Alex Drake

I’d rather bet on finding no alien life in the universe than that

  • AnimeFan89

I can guarantee at this point when (if) it releases, they will be selling it at a loss.

  • DizzyGear

NISA doesnt give a fuck about the fans. They took a steaming shit on the fans with the censorship, bugs/crashes, poor localisation of their past games.

No, i’m willing to bet money that it was a very angry phone call from FALCOM that made this happen.

  • DizzyGear

Wouldn’t be the first time they “ported” a game by just running it in some sort of emulation wrapper and called it a day.

One of their earlier PC “ports”, Cladun, did exactly that except that was a PSP game so any PC thats not a complete potato could bruteforce it to run.

  • DizzyGear

Heads should have rolled a long time ago when NISA fucked up their own NIS games again and again with retarded censorship, critical bugs and shit translation.

    Dont expect much.

  • FrankieL

Sure you can. If, 1. you have the room to put a giant PC case by your TV setup (which I don’t) and 2. if you have a place to use your mouse and keyboard effectively in your living room. Also, that’s providing you’re using a wireless keyboard. If not, guess what, gotta have a long ass usb extension cable people can trip on. Let’s be honest with ourselves here, guys. PC in the living room is generally not that practical and is more suited for a desk. And I’ve never sat in an office chair or desk chair that was as comfy as my couch/recliner. Give me a link to an office chair that is and I’ll stand corrected (and probably buy it immediately). But chances are the chair still won’t invoke “relaxation” and “chill” when playing a game. Which is what I like to do while playing video games. Steam Link is definitely a more practical approach, but will it work for games that you didn’t buy through Steam? Nope. So that option isn’t perfect either. I don’t know what to tell you guys. I’m just not willing to game on PC as my primary method of gaming. Way too many variables where PC gaming ends up being more of a hassle that a boon. It just doesn’t work for me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • No buy list.

  • He ran away from gematsu because now the site is switch fanboys territory. Vita fanboys have no where to go now. lol

1-2, Switch is comin’ for you
    3-4 better lock your door…

  • catazxy

Trust me, even a small boost like 40fps is much better then 30, I can’t believe we are still talking about basic stuff like that after all this time, and that goes for the “couch argument” too, if you take a look at the back/side of your TV you’ll see a hdmi port, I know, what a revolution….

  • Alex Drake

That’s an internal thing. Here we have a contract with another company that could get torn up

  • Bazzy

Thanks for letting me see this, after the block. :D
Tried to block it again, tbh.

  • Bazzy

    On the “couch argument”
I did Play YS VI on steam last night lying in my bed, via wireless controller. So that is just no argument at all, everybody can buy a wireless pad and play however the heck they want.

  • Bazzy

Or even Nvidia Gamestream, hell i tried to stream stardew, shovel knight and ori to my freaking phone via Moonlight. Granted ori’s zoomed out nature made it difficult to see at a 4,3″ display, but it did work. And i do not have a monster setup, quite the contrary. My pc is considered average now, with a gtx 970 a xeon at 3,4 ghz and 16 bg ram.
Oh and we have below average internet speed here as well 25 mb/s.

So just because you do not know what you are talking about @FrankieL doesn’t make your “arguments” any more valid. Hell half of the crap you worte you see every day on those clickbait console channels like jaytech or crapgamer. Its sad.

    I’m kinda confused

  • totenglocke

It’s always hilarious to watch the mental gymnastics people go through to justify being scared of computers.

  • iswear12

Where were ya? I haven’t seen ya around for a while

  • Bazzy

I did block the infamous Isiscream. couldn’t be asked to read a slingle line form this person anymore. So i couldn’t see the posts you linked above.

  • catazxy

I know, I do that all the time, but I didn’t want him to have a heart attack…

  • catazxy

Yeah, sorry, but I’m trying to finish my final year of college, and thats more trouble then what I first imagined…Don’t worry tho, I’m rotten to the core so I’ll pop in here from time to time…

If his heart is that weak he wouldn’t have lived long anyway. :D

Xseed are delivering quality ports where NISA instead makes not only mistakes, but flat out botches ports for years now, after reading the post that listed all the fuckups i can not believe how someone can honestly defend these incompetent fuck ups anymore. Is a bad localized game with typos all over the place really worth this, just because you got it early? Wtf? Sorry i never got this mindset and the more i read your comment the less i can believe what i read.

Hell Xseed has even the coder active in their steam forums to answer questions more than i could even count it, but how could you’ve known that, right?!

  • Malcolm_Ecks

NIgga you like your own post?! AAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

  • FrankieL

Not scared. I used to be a PC gamer. Then I realized how much of a hassle it is to be one when I can play most of the same games on console and not have to worry if my specs are up to snuff to even run the damn thing, not to mention Windows actually deciding to work properly. Look. To me, PC gaming just doesn’t cut it for me. Again. FOR ME. You guys can do what ever you want and play how you want to play. I don’t care, just don’t bitch about releases coming so much later than a console release of a particular game. That’s the price you pay for being a PC gamer when wanting to play console games.

I’ve considered going back to PC gaming several times recently but immediately realize there’s no point when I have a console that plays the same games perfectly fine. I’m not as anal as some folks are with frame-rate or resolution (unless the frame-rates make the game unplayable). The only time I consider playing on PC is when I want to play an old ass game that I can’t find on console anymore. But my backlog is so large, it’s just not that important or worth it to me.

  • totenglocke

Ah yes, the “PC gaming is complicated” bullshit. If everyone who claims they used to be a PC gamer had ever touched one, they wouldn’t make such laughably illogical arguments.

I play on every platform and I do it all from my sofa on a massive 4k TV with surround sound. There’s nothing to be scared of, JayzTwoCents even posted a video of his five year old daughter building a computer.

  • FrankieL

I never said it was complicated. I said it was a hassle and ultimately a pain in the ass. I have more important things to be doing that takes up my time than tinkering away at a PC to make the damn thing perfect just to play video games. Like playing video games. 😜 I just want to play games and consoles are the path of least resistance for me to do just that. So can we just move on to agreeing that video games are awesome and we both love the hobby? Or do you gotta keep the meaningless conflict going?

  • Jack Thompson

Import the Japanese release to support the devs and pirate the localization to deny NISA money.

  • Jack Thompson

Haven’t they already announced continued partnership? And no, I don’t mean that PR interview that was made before the shitshow and released afterwards as damage control.
