Ubisoft has announced a remastered version for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue.

Here are the first screenshots:

include all of its post-launch downloadable content from the original game, as well as two bonus missions “The Armor of Sir Gunn’s Quest” and “The Siege of Fort de Sable.” There’s also the “Master Templar” and “Explorer” packs, each containing weapons, items, and special outfits including Bayek’s legacy outfit from Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

Here’s a brief overview of the game’s story, via Ubisoft:

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue tells the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Assassin’s Brotherhood who undergoes a dark and slow transformation from an Assassin to a grim and committed Templar who hunts down his former brothers. Players’ journeys will take them from beautiful New York City to the Wild River Valley and icy cold waters of the North Atlantic.

I’ve heard that this one is pretty good, so it’s nice that they are bringing it on PS4.

Now all that’s left to port is I and III. And maybe Liberation…does that count as a mainline Assassin’s Creed game?

  • Swirly Twirl

    I remember that one.
Ubisoft always wants you to play as a good guy that’s why the Templars are saints and the assassins are villains that constantly kill innocent civilians without a hint of remorse.
It’s basically Black Flag but shorter if I remember correctly.

Rogue and Unity came out in the same year. The idea was to have Rogue for the peasants that still only had a PS3 or 360 and Unity was supposed to be the masterpiece for the folks that had already upgraded. Turns out Rogue was vastly superior to Unity and only a little bit behind Black Flag in quality. The story was not great, but it did give you a tale from the Templar’s perspective and not only set up the events in Unity, but it also tied up some loose ends from Black Flag. All in all, I really recommend Rogue.

This felt like an expansion more than a full game but its pretty good, especially if you enjoy the boat stuff.

Think it counts as a side story like Rouge.

The AC2 series went on for fare to long. The last 2 games was just milking.

AC3 is boring as hell. Why would anyone play that again?

  • SevTheBear

Didn’t they reboot the series with Origin to get away from the old games that has lost their charm long ago? Rouge seems kinda weird with that idea.

I completely forgot this one existed.

I enjoy the boat stuff but I like the Black Flag setting better.Boats+Cold climate is not something I want to play trough.

Ezio torched a whole city in Revelations if I remember correctly and I don’t think he felt too bad about it.I don’t think there are “good guys” in AC.Only cunts and cuntier cunts.

  • Nanashi

I’ve heard that some people actually do like it.

I myself haven’t played any of the games since II. Been wanting to do a massive playthrough of them all, and it would definitely be nice to have them all on the same system.

I don’t think Origins is a reboot, just a prequel.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, rogue is the best assasin’s creed game.
