• Disney Shuts Down Marvel Heroes MMORPG

    We’ve learned that Disney is shutting down Marvel Heroes, their MMORPG developed by Gazillion Entertainment under Marvel Entertainment.

    The game was originally released for PC back in 2013, only to be re-launched as Marvel Heroes Omega earlier this year for PC alongside a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port.


    “We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down,” a Disney representative wrote in a statement. “We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”

    The game’s servers will be shut down on December 31st of this year, and while the option to buy things in-game is currently being removed – there hasn’t been clarification regarding player refunds for previous purchases.
