New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Gameplay Shows off the Hero Colosseum

Bandai Namco has shared new gameplay for the “Hero Colosseum” content heading to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Featured above, the new content shows off the new mode where you can fight tactical battles with figurines based on characters from the Dragon Ball universe.

The “Hero Colosseum” DLC is coming as a free update this fall, alongside the new character DLC for Tapion and Android 13 (the latter is paid, however).

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

The Colosseum being free is nice and somewhat unexpected from Bamco given their recent track record.

  • This doesn’t seem like the type of thing they would be able to sell for much (maybe some Dragon Ball Heroes fans in Japan would care till they just play the 3DS game which is better), so I think it makes sense to make it free to just keep the download/disc spinning before the paid DLC comes.

  • Man this is a stupid mode to add to Xenoverse 2. Why instead of adding more story content they would waste their time making a Dragonball heroes minigame.

judging from my experience, this kind of thing will involve gacha machines … .

Frieza, you might be an emperor of the entire universe, but getting addicted with gacha machine will be your downfall!

Looks like a mobile phone game that they just ported to Xenoverse. What’s the point?
