• New PlayStation VR Model Announced With Built-in HDR Pass-Through

    Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new PlayStation VR model.

    The new CUH-ZVR2 model comes with updated mechanics to further improve end-user comfort, better cable management, and more – including:


    • Stereo headphone jack in the rear of VR headset. The cable wiring is integrated into the VR headset by the connection of enclosed stereo headphones.
    • Consolidate cables connecting the VR headset and processor unit to a slim, single cable.
    • Processor unit now supports HDR video pass-through.

    The Japanese release is set for October 14th, while the western release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet. The new model will also come in a bundle with the PlayStation Camera.
