This dub is sounding atrocious. Seems like they haven’t censored the outfits yet (unless I’m mistaken), I’m shocked.

  • sanic

    Dang that controller is pretty.

  • TT

well, I heard NoE is working on this one. Hopefully there’s dual audio though

“Seems like they haven’t censored the outfits yet (unless I’m mistaken), I’m shocked.”

Nothing I’ve seen from when the game was revealed to now has been changed from what I can tell, the good thing is Nintendo of Europe is handling “localization” but that doesn’t mean treehouse hasn’t had some input during development, but equally we don’t know if Nintendo of Europe has prevented any interference considering the handling it! There is a possible litmus test if some think has been changed, in the initial reveal there were segments of the games script in Japanese which were translated, a seen shows female characters at a Hot Spring, and one of the characters making a complement about another female characters body, will have to wait and see if it made the cut.

Every think I’ve seen so far seems good, but I will still be taken a wait and see approach.

  • Terra

Burst out laughing when the stone wyvern Basarios looking thing opened its mouth. I understand it’s chosen with the bunny form in mind, but fuck it should have a deeper voice in dragon form or whatever.

Quite surprised by the usage of some Irish voice actors. Don’t hear that often.

  • InkViper

It’s handled by Nintendo of Europe, so they can pull from UK local talent.

  • InkViper

All in all this is a pretty sweet special edition, love the box art.

  • Heresy Hammer

I wasn’t the only one who noticed. Good god was it terrible.

  • Pico

God, that voice acting was fucking awefull

  • Mechonis

Better preorder this soon before scalpers get to it. Don’t even own a Switch yet smh

  • Fandangle

Dub is better than 90% of nintendo’s other story based games. Have you heard FEW’s dub?

  • Loli de 42 lagrimas pelo Mirio

I like the dub, I think the British Accents give the game a unique identity, like the first Xenoblade did.

  • InkViper

At 2 minutes and 27 seconds, watch at quarter speed, boob physics confirmed for cut scenes! Thinking NOE has done ther magic, And kept the NOA trolls away.

  • The narrator, totally. Some of the cast surprised me with actual tallent, but Pyra and the MC are atrocious.

  • Glyth

Looks like a lot more of a generic shounen than the first one. I need japanese voices for this one. I can’t take generic shounen dialogue in english.

  • evilmajikman

    I have a mighty need.

  • CrusaderEsper

The game is getting a global release so we may have all the languages in it like Breath of the Wild did. This isn’t like the last two Xenoblade games where the game was out in Japan for a year before it was localized. I’m guessing it’s just one version of the game with the only change being the default language.

  • Uncle Ocelot

I liked the first game’s dub, but I’m not feeling this one so far.

  • 2501

the first Xenoblade will always be top tier.

  • Warrior90

    Nothing sweet about overpriced crap.
Yakuza 6 premium edition comes with more stuff AND is 10$/€ cheaper.

  • Loli de 42 lagrimas pelo Mirio

you mean… you’re not REALLY FEELING IT?

  • Uncle Ocelot

    Huh, that was actually unintentional.

  • malbhet

Already pre ordered it from bestbuy:D

  • MusouTensei

Just hope I can have german text and japanese voices.

  • MusouTensei

    Day 1.

  • artemisthemp

So happy I don’t own a Pro Controller yet since that mean I can buy this without issues

  • Ace

    When’s Marvel?

  • Pico

    No one cans

  • malbhet

English text and japanese voices for me, but worse case scenario I pray they allow voice acting to be turned off so I can at least enjoy the game without the horrible English voice acting ruining the immersion like so many other horribly English dubbed games.

  • MusouTensei

Yeah you can change the volume of music, SFX and voices seperately.
