Samurai Shodown V Special Launches for PS4 and PS Vita on September 12

SNK and Code Mystics have announced the release date for Samurai Shodown V Special on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The classic fighting game will launch tomorrow (depending on what time you read this), September 12th, for $14.99. Featured above, you can view a new trailer showcasing the game’s main features.

It’s worth reiterating the game is cross-buy, meaning you get it on PS Vita and PS4 for the price of one version.

The game’s PlayStation release comes with new online multiplayer, as well as a gallery with unlockable art, illustrations, trophies, leaderboards, and finally the ability for players to set their preferred music in different levels.

Definitely a day 1 buy for me. This release is more complete than most fighting games these days.

I’d love to get it day one, but I fear that by day 15 the servers will be all but dead.

Well, wouldn’t that be a motivation to get it day 1? :P

In any case I don’t mind. The single player content alone is worth the purchase for me.

Ha! I’d actually do it if I knew I could get at least two solid weeks of online versus in.

Jealous of Code Mystics.. If/when PC (officially) gets this I fear it’ll be DotEmu

    This game is sick.
Wish I had friends to play it with.
