We’ve gotten a pretty thorough look at the recently announced Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition.
Featured above, the 20-minute gameplay walkthrough (via IGN) for the smartphone game from this year’s PAX West.
The game features a 10-episode story of the console game and its main characters, however it uses a new chibi art style to feasibly run on smartphone devices. The game also utilizes touch controls that are optimized for smartphones. The first episode will be free, while the remaining episodes sound like you’ll need to purchase them separately. The initial release is set for sometime this fall.
In related news, Final Fantasy XV was recently confirmed to be heading to PC. Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you should check out our written and video review for the game here.
