20 Minutes of Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition Gameplay

We’ve gotten a pretty thorough look at the recently announced Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition.

Featured above, the 20-minute gameplay walkthrough (via IGN) for the smartphone game from this year’s PAX West.

The game features a 10-episode story of the console game and its main characters, however it uses a new chibi art style to feasibly run on smartphone devices. The game also utilizes touch controls that are optimized for smartphones. The first episode will be free, while the remaining episodes sound like you’ll need to purchase them separately. The initial release is set for sometime this fall.

    It just looks so bland, and those character designs are awful. They should’ve made it look and play more like Bravely Default or something to be honest. Then again it’s a smartphone game so I wouldn’t care regardless.
