Brilliant Cyberpunk Thriller Ruiner Set for September 26 Release

Independent Polish studio Reikon Games have announced the release date for Ruiner, their upcoming cyberpunk thriller.

The game will launch across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 26th. Featured above, you can view a new “Ugly Heart” trailer for the game.

Here’s a rundown on the title, via Devolver Digital:

Ruiner is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired sociopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend. Combine preternatural reflexes, augmented tools, and the arsenal of fallen foes to tear down and dismantle the corporate titans of virtuality dealers at HEAVEN.

Key Features

  • Sophisticated & Brutal Combat: Ruiner features lightning fast combat that requires a delicate balance of overwhelming, brute force, and elegant strikes to overcome all manner of savage opponents. Blast through crowds or slow down time and hand select your points of attack before unleashing a storm of violence on the battlefield.
  • Cyberpunk Inspired Arsenal: Equip all manner of high-tech firearms and melee weapons to ruin all that oppose you. Employ state of the art gadgets like energy shield, dash augmentations, and the switch gun stun or hack the opposition onto your side of the fight.
  • Story-Driven Action: Violent confrontation is a means to an end and trust is a devalued currency in Rengkok as you navigate a senseless world with the help of a mysterious hacker friend.
  • Exceptional Soundtrack: Explore and battle to the intense beats of Khoven, DJ Alina, and famed anime composer Susumu Hirasawa (PaprikaMillennium Actress).

I got a thorough hands on with the game at least year’s E3, and I was quite impressed – you should read up on that here.

Are the devs gigantic faggots for this one or will this be worth NOT pirating?

  • reckloose

What would make the devs non-faggots/faggots in your view?

  • Neojames82

I don’t think these guys have said or done anything to be warranting that. At least as far as I know. I mean Devolver Digital did publish a game from that asshole Rami (Nuclear Throne) but that’s about it.

    Cock size

  • catazxy

I’ve got to keep an eye on this one

  • GuyGuysonEsquire

Fuck, this game looks sick as shit.

  • Feniks

Spend my holiday on the gay beach and there’s no correlation between fags and tool size.

    Grandstanding SJWs = faggots

Publishers aren’t usually a problem. Deep Silver for example, fucked up with their MN9 “joke” but at least they published KoF14 for Europe.

  • Neojames82

Valid point. Though I still think Sega fucked up with Relic ever since Company Of Heroes 2.

  • reckloose

I agree with your sentiments then.

  • Pilebunker

Looks pretty damn cool. You already had me sold on the gameplay and cyberpunk setting but a soundtrack with Susumu Hirasawa? I’m really looking forward to it now.
