Report: Unannounced Midnight Club Game Leaked

We’ve learned that Rockstar Games are probably releasing a remastered version of Midnight Club.

The news comes from a Reddit user (via NeoGAF) who discovered assets for the game on the server – which you can find above as well as below:

The last game in the Midnight Club series is Midnight Club: Los Angeles, which launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PSP back in 2008.

Since this isn’t an official announcement and is leaked from official servers, we’re classifying this as a rumor for now. What would you like to see in a new Midnight Club game? Or possibly a remaster of the original? Sound off in the comments below!

I didn’t think we’d ever see another Midnight Club, but if we do that’s cool. Hopefully there’s no Shark Card shit.

Only played MC2 and MC:LA. I absolutely loved MC2. Hard as hell but was great fun. MC:LA was boring and repetitive. If it is a new one, I’d love to MC2 progression with LA vehicle customization.

“Hopefully there’s no Shark Card shit.” Hah.

  • Played LA on my 360 back in high school. It was pretty fun.

That shit perma fucked their game design they second they decided to stop the new vehicles and weapons into single player which I see them as being hostile towards anyone that wants to ignore online, yet while they make so much money with this BS they can’t think of any actually expansive new content for it like new islands for it just more grindy missions and cars. RDR 2 was probably built with this in all in mind so I fear SP will be treated as some short tutorial with the bulk of content locked away in MP.

This is (potentially) awesome news. I was actually just thinking about Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition the other day. I have never really been interested in this genre of racing games, but a high school friend of mine, who was a typical sporty, car enthusiast, hick dude, bought the game for me for my birthday when it came out, and I actually quite enjoyed it. I was just thinking to myself if there would ever be another game in the series. Here’s hoping.
