Fate/Grand Order Arcade Revealed

This is Niche Imports. In this column, we regularly cover games that haven’t been announced for western audiences yet. Please leave feedback and let us know if there’s something you want us to cover!

Sega, Aniplex, Type-Moon, and Delight Works have Fate/Grand Order Arcade.

The game is described as a “heroic spirit” summoning team battle, and is based on the wildly popular Fate franchise by Type-Moon. Featured above, you can view the game’s debut trailer.

Naturally, this game is based on the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game, which is coming to Japan sometime next year.

Further details weren’t announced.

Is it a fighting game? Musou? Beat-em-up? Action RPG? I’m interested in seeing more. I’m honestly happy if this gets the same treatment that Platinum is giving Granblue (I want to see more of that too!)

  • Matz

I just hope that this doesn’t end up as one of those TCG Arcades, the only thing that would be worse than FGO’s gasha system is FGO’s gasha system in real life

I’m really hoping that this is like Dissidia in terms of gameplay. That’s still a pretty untapped genre here in the US, and with the mobile game gaining popularity in the US as well, there’s a possibility that it will come stateside too.

Also: Make Olga playable, and this is a day-one purchase for me.

You mean the game that is never comimg out?

I’ve always thought those things were awesome, it’s just a shame we’ll never see them over here, but still an awesome genre of games I think.

    Why? What happened?

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

FGO links to it and you can battle your friends in a bigger better looking visuals/attacks; that’s what my guess is.

  • Etherblaze

I know it’s been strangely quiet but has there been any news about it that states it’s in turmoil or cancelled?

  • すろぉもぉしょん

    No updates.

  • Uncle Ocelot

Well, TGS is pretty soon so there’ll probably be news there.

FGO is a good time, so long as you aren’t invested too much into any certain character. The game can be completed with most characters, even the low rarity ones. Lord help you if you want any of the 5 stars, though.
