While StudioMDHR’s gorgeous, old time-y cartoon-like game Cuphead has long since been confirmed for PC and Xbox One, many fans wondered if the game was a true Xbox One “console exclusive,” or if it would sometime be coming to PlayStation 4 or the Switch at some point.

After fans speculated once again on NeoGAF, one of the game’s key developers took to the forum to clarify things once and for all:

“Yes, this Cuphead game is exclusive to Xbox and PC (with Steam and Win10 versions at launch and a GoG release likely shortly after). There will likely be a Mac version down the road and possibly a Linux version beyond that (unless we lose our houses or whatever). We own the Cuphead IP.”

If you’re wondering what they meant by “unless we lose our houses or whatever,” it’s because the developers literally remortgaged their houses to finance the games development.

Cuphead is launching for PC and Xbox One on September 29th.
