Castlevania Animated Series Producer Confirms New Assassin’s Creed Anime Series

Adi Shankar, the creator and producer (DreddPunisher: Dirty Laundry, etc) behind the upcoming Castlevania animated series, is working on yet another animated series based on a popular video game franchise – Assassin’s Creed.

The creator announced the project over on Facebook, where he noted Ubisoft approached him to “create an original story set in it as an anime series.”

Shankar also noted how far he’s coming since his debut as a creator: “If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong.”

The interesting thing to note is that Shankar calls the adaptation an “anime” series and not an “animated” series, like the western-animation studio produced Castlevania adaptation. Could this mean we’ll get a new Assassin’s Creed story set within Japan?

This isn’t the first time Assassin’s Creed has been adapted outside of games, however, with the live-action Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender launching earlier this year.

    No thanks.

Assassin’s Creed Japan could be good.Make it violent, make it gory.Don’t introduce the fucking Animus and this could work.

  • SiliconNooB

This makes me not look forward to the Castlevania series.

    Where’s my CoD animu?

  • Speaking of which, the castlevania series launches tomorrow. I’ll withhold judgement until then.

  • RichardGristle

I’m looking forward to the Castlevania show but I’m suffering majorly from Assassin’s Creed fatigue.

Clearly he meant that it would take heavy influence from japanese animation. The main character will be an aloof self-insert high school student currently studying at Abstergo Academy where, unbeknownst to most students, human experiments trying to raise the perfect templar are happening. One day he accidently meets a robot girl called Animus-tan who helps him rebel against the conspiracy by allowing him to recall the memories of multiple assassins throughout history and use their abilities as secret skills.

He would do shit like mix the leftover lunch from the cafeteria that nobody wants into a flask and call it a poison flask. He would then coat his hidden blades, which are actually pencils or maybe box cutters, in it and stab people in dark loudly while shouting “SECRET EZIO TECHNIQUE NUMBER 14: POISON COATED BLADES”. Also 90% of the side characters are girls that want his dick but he’s to dense to give it and it will get cancelled in an unsatsifying cliffhanger after 13 episodes because Ubisoft just wants to sell the LN.

At this point, I would love to see an Assassin’s Creed Sumeria just because it’s NEVER been done. An Assassin’s Creed Japan would be cool but I’ve seen that so many times, I don’t think Ubisoft could do better.

Assassin’s Creed Origins would’ve been the perfect way to end the series. Now Ubisoft has a mobile game coming out, probably more movies, comics, etc. NOW there’s an anime too?

Considering this is Ubisoft, I’m interested to see the faggotry that comes from the protagonist. I’m willing to bet the Assassin this time around will be a female who’s “empowered” and “strong” and decides to dress like a boy, and join whatever military force is in her day…

Because Shinkar wants to and got approached for it, f*** you. Kinda how things work in the entertainment industry, if a producer has money, wants to see something happen and ropes in other investors to pitch in money to hire on people, projects can happen.

Hopefully Castlevania is good. Assassin’s Creed could work well as a show – just make it bloody and exclude any SJW crap.

  • Madbrainbox

If Castlevania is any indication, the bloody part won’t be an issue.

  • Mr0303

Having just watched it I concur on that part.

  • ProxyDoug

    It was great.

  • ProxyDoug

    How was it?

  • Surprising good.

  • ProxyDoug

I wish he would work on something people aren’t full of hearing about.

Well, they surely have material for a AC in japan, in the (terrible) facebook game several japanese assassins were listed and there was several missions in japan iirc
