Koei Tecmo Pledges More Support for Nintendo Switch, More Exclusives

Koei Tecmo has further pledged their support for the Nintendo Switch.

The news comes via a financial results briefing held recently (via Nintendo Everything), where company president and CEO Yoichi Erikawa, who said the company’s multiplatform engine also supports porting games to the Nintendo Switch. This means they can build a game and readily port it to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Switch.

Erikawa shared that he feels the “anytime, anywhere” premise of the Switch is intriguing and will make it a success – coming from this he said that he wants to support the platform. A slideshow presentation shown noted Koei Tecmo plans to consistently port games to the Switch.

While the company has Fire Emblem Warriors in the works, they’re also planning other games exclusively for the Switch. They’ve already released games like Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence with Power-Up Kit and Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit for the console in Japan, and they’ve got more multi-platform games like Nights of Azure 2 and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taisho coming as well.

Finally, Koei Tecmo promised they’re working on other big collaboration  titles like Fire Emblem Warriors, and they plan to release them both in Japan and internationally.
