Smite Joins the Meme-War by Adding Bob Ross

Hi-Rez Studios are trying to capitalize on the meme-war by including famed yet deceased painter Bob Ross to their MOBA, Smite.

While the afro’ed painter isn’t technically a playable character, he’ll be a character skin for the tree-loving god Sylvanus. While the above picture is all we have to go on, the new skin is being made possible by a partnership with Twitch (who streamed the entire archive of Bob Ross’ show) and the Bob Ross foundation.

Here’s a rundown on Ross’ appearance in the game:

Ride atop a happy little Grover and fling paint at your enemies with the Exclusive Bob Ross Sylvanus Skin. Plus, unlock a Loading Frame that makes all card art appear as a painting and a paint splatter Jump Stamp!

Each bundle item was created by the Smite development team in close partnership with Twitch and the Bob Ross estate. This bundle is our tribute to the greatness of Bob Ross – undeniably one of the true Gods of painting.

The Bob Ross Bundle will launch on May 9th for PC and Mac and on May 16th for consoles. You can buy the bundle up front for $9.99 or 700 in-game gems.
