After enduring 14 seasons of the anime I don’t think I can look at Ash’ mug any longer.

  • Fear Me I Am Free

Though this season has been different. Ash is in school now and has 5 companions who are his classmates instead of the usual 2 – 3. It also involves him just traveling around to the different islands then returning to where he lives. Though most will agree the art leaves something to be desired. It took a huge nosedive this season. Most will say that X&Y was probably the best season since the original mainly because Serena was so well liked. She’s a top-tier girl companion.

  • Mr0303

I think I had enough Pokemon for a lifetime after watching that much of the anime.

  • NukeA6

How long is Ash’s story gonna continue? Even Power Rangers ended the whole Angel Grove saga after four years (and I thought that was too long).

  • Fear Me I Am Free

I’m just saying it is a refreshing change.

  • Mr0303

I believe you. It’s the monotony that killed the original anime for me.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Fuck the anime. It may have not ended up as bad as Beyblade but it’s still stupid as fuck.
Every character makes you wanna slug em’.

  • Neojames82

Wow, the animation looks like it has gotten cheaper over the years.

  • They need to just reboot the series and make red the main character.

  • TsukuyomiMagi99

Satoshi is the anime version of Red. Also making the Red you want won’t magically make the anime good. That has more to do with the corporate sponsors and The Pokemon Company.

  • TsukuyomiMagi99

When the Pokemon brand no longer sells.

  • TsukuyomiMagi99

As long as the Pokemon brand sells they won’t reboot the series. Also Satoshi is the anime version of Red but even if they made the Red you want won’t magically make the anime good. It has to do with the way the corporate sponsors and The Pokemon Company treat the show. A character is only as good as the author who writes them.

  • OldPalpy

He got flanderized as every bit of the slight 90’s anime edge was sucked out and replaced with bad attempts to copy the source material.

  • Zombie_Barioth

Rebooting the series won’t change anything if they treat it the same way. The studio COULD write a pretty decent story if they put their minds to it, but the problem is they don’t see the point because they assume the entire audience changes with every season.

That was the explanation given for why they don’t reveal things like who his father is, because to them its “not important” to his character development.

That’s also why the Origins and Generations shorts were primarily aimed at the older audience, and probably why the upcoming movie is basically rebooting the original anime’s story.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

His health’s taking a turn for the worse; can’t last more than one or two more seasons in his coma.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Why do you want Red to be turned into shit? It’d be better if they actually used the player characters of that generation than attempting to tap into nostalgia.

  • Uncle Ocelot

New version looks like he has whiskers.

  • OSad

It actually looks like he’s getting younger as more seasons go by. Which is a real cacophony when you consider that he hasn’t really aged in like, thirteen seasons.

  • Heresy Hammer

Reminds me of dbz compared to super.

    Which means never.

Mostly because Serena is the one with real romantic interest towards and she is very cute. Dawn is in 2nd place because Serena took over.

  • Fear Me I Am Free

Yeah, Serena is probably my favorite and made the most progress with Ash. People really wanted her to be added to the Sun/Moon series. I also remember there being a few occasions with Misty as well. I think the least romantic was Iris. I wouldn’t be surprised if they push Ash x Lillie considering how she is in the game towards your character. Never thought I’d see romance in my Pokemon game, but I was pleasantly surprised. Sun/Moon had a great story.

  • Magilou

    age regression

  • Zanard Bell

Nah, after the animation team jobbed Ash hard to Alain and his retard Mega Charizard when every single plot flag pointed to Ash’s Victory, AND then refused to bring Serena to the next season I just don’t have the heart to watch it anymore.

  • Personaknight

I’m ready for pokemon special manga anime to start up…

  • Anurag

In 20 Years his age didn’t increase but his maturity did . But in Sun and Moon it seems like he has grown more younger.
Are this type animes in trend ?

  • SoloDragonRider

i saw the Japanese version of the first two episodes of the anime and I was very disappointed. They completely rebooted Ash to try to attract a different generation of fans which is going to backfire in their face. As it always happens in reboots of anything, it ends up being a let down and a disappointment. I grew up with pokemon and I refuse to watch this one. They horribly drew ash, it completely destroy the continuity, and the other characters actually look like they belong in the pokemon series. Maybe this will be another Black and White and they have another wake up call that this was a seriously bad idea.

  • YanHri

We got all of this “For kids” shit when there are so many more teens and adults who are Pokemon fans. Why can’t this turn into a normaI anime, where at least some teen-rated content can pass? What’s the point of pulling a damn “BW” on the anime?

lt also seems Iike every other season is good and every other season is bad. Dunno, just an observation, starting at Diamond Pearl.

  • La caja de Raja

Im watching it, and I can tell you to don’t its just filler trash
