Niche Gamer Plays – Splatoon 2 Global Testfire

Niche Gamer Plays is an ongoing video preview series where our staff take an in-depth and yet concise look at classic, current, and upcoming games across all current gaming platforms.

Nintendo has finally launched their bite-sized Global Testfire online multiplayer sessions for Splatoon 2, so naturally we got our time in to play the game extensively and record our sessions for you here.

In case you missed the sessions that have already gone done, make sure you hop into a future session throughout this weekend. Read more about that here.

Splatoon 2 is launching sometime this summer for the Nintendo Switch.

    Is it still fun?

  • Its way better in terms of frame rate and all that.

I played drakengard 3 framerate means nothing to me.

Based on the testfire? It’s more Splatoon. Slightly more detailed visuals. Poor resolution. Rock solid framerate. Catchy music. Fun weapons.

It’s Splatoon 1.5, the bottom line of most reviews is almost certainly gonna hinge on how amped you are for “more Splatoon”. The campaign will hopefully be a bit meatier at least, but the gameplay seemed exactly the same to me.
