New Final Fantasy XV Trailer Introduces the “Episode Gladiolus” DLC

Square Enix has shared the official trailer for Final Fantasy XV‘s upcoming “Episode Gladiolus” downloadable content.

The new downloadable story content is launching on March 28th, and focuses on things from the eyes of Gladiolus, who isn’t playable in the main story of Final Fantasy XV.

Gladiolus will have his own unique actions from the game’s protagonist, Noctis, and players will even be treated to new UI. Square Enix is claiming the new DLC will include roughly two to three hours of new content.

In recent news, Square Enix showed off an improved version of Final Fantasy XV running on high-end PC hardware. Previously, game director Hajime Tabata teased a PC version of the game, emphasizing that both he and the team want to showcase the game running on high end PCs, and even allow for modding.

Final Fantasy XV is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you should check out our written and video review for the game here.

Join Gladio on his quest for the golden noodle cup!

  • Uncle Ocelot

Apparently XV’s arrangement of Battle at the Big Bridge is being done by Keiichi Okabe, so that should be good.

  • 2501

    Gilgamesh’s theme… Keiichi Okabe arrangement… i can’t wait to hear that.

  • Obbliglol

Holy shitballs, that’s worth the price alone.

  • If only the game wasn’t shit I would care. Final Fantasy is long dead quality wise. The last good FF was 12.

  • Etherblaze

So how much do I have to pay for 3 hours worth of content to find out what arbitrary shit Gladio abandoned Noctis and friends to do when they were about to head into imperial territory?

  • UnpluggedBeta

Final Fantasy 12 was great, but it was so different from predecessors that I’ve long given up on comparing one mainline title to another. About the only consistent thing between modern FF titles is the outrageous budget.

  • UnpluggedBeta

Battle at the Big Bridge? Voted Gaming Intelligence Agency’s best FF song? I’m there.

  • Grampy_Bone

What is the point of this? Why does this happen without Noctis? When Gladiolus rejoins the party he doesn’t have any extra power or abilities. DLC is such a stupid idea.

For a second when looking at the thumbnail I thought I was looking at Solid Snake lol.
