New Dragon Ruins Arena Revealed for Dark Souls III

Bandai Namco has revealed the new “Dragon Ruins” arena coming soon to Dark Souls III.

Featured above, a new trailer was published showcasing the game’s new arena, one of two set within the game’s “Undead Match” mode. If you own either the “Ashes of Ariandel” or the coming “The Ringed City” expansion you’ll have access to all the arenas.

In case you missed it, you can find our previous report on the game’s coming expansion, The Ringed City, here.

The Ringed City is launching on March 28th, 2017 for $14.99. In case you missed it, you can find our review for Dark Souls III here (we highly recommend it!).

  • Have a stage select screen for the PVP arena in the previous DLC but with only one stage and only now bring more stages for it.
This is also assuming it’s not just the one stage that’s announced being released.

I appreciate the variety but I’m not a fan of the arena layout. The current arena introduced in Ashes of Ariendel is a nice, flat arena with sparse cover, just enough to avoid spells and arrows but not to encourage turtling or ambush strats.

Here there’s high and low points, claustrophobic corridors… I expect many stupid deaths from people hiding behind corners with greatswords.
