Japan-Only Virtual Boy Game Virtual Fishing Gets Full Translation via Fans

Do you want to play a virtual fishing game while having your eyes bleed? Rejoice as fans have finally translated Virtual Fishing, a Japan-only release for Nintendo’s ill-fated Virtual Boy console.

Fans over on Romhacking.net have fully translated the game into English and have even replaced graphics alongside text so that everything is in English. The only line not translated is an “erase all data” string that never actually shows up in game.

Originally released for the Virtual Boy in Japan back in 1995, the Locomotive Corporation-developed game was published by Pack-In-Video. Enthusiasts that have played import copies (or ROMs) of the game note that it’s a competent, if not limited fishing game.
