First Look at the New Mega Man Cartoon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaMsyXK2WW0

We’ve gotten the first look at Capcom and Dentsu Entertainment USA’s upcoming Mega Man cartoon.

Featured above, a sizzle reel for upcoming cartoons was uploaded by animation company Film Roman, which showed a brief glimpse at the cartoon.

The small teaser shows off the Blue Bomber, Drill Man, and even Fire Man.

The new series will span 26 episodes, and will be a collaborative production between Dentsu Entertainment USA and Man of Action Entertainment (known for Ben 10, Generator Rex and Big Hero 6).

The plan is to launch the cartoon sometime in 2017 to coincide with the series 30th anniversary, on Disney XD.

  • Wonderkarp

The Fuck did they do to Heathcliff!?

  • Mr0303

His proportions are a bit weird. I’m not sure about Man of Action. Ben 10’s quality was getting progressively worse, but it may be an OK children’s show. I’m not expecting it to be great though.

  • RetroGamer

Now how about a new Mega Man game with slick 2D graphics?

  • Eden

It would’ve been cool to see a Megaman cartoon in the original Ben 10s quality.

  • scemar

    it looks comically bad

” cheap flash ben 10 style cartoon but with beloved videogame IP” must have sounded great on paper to the investors tho

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

They shouldn’t be so proud of all that shit. Luckily Ultimate Spiderman’s ending so there will be less.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Man of Action are shit, just look at Marvels cartoons (they even had the guy behind BTAS working beside them). Megaman will be worse, especially with what they’ve said will happen already.

  • dogmentation

Well, one consolation at least. Since it’s on Disney XD, guaranteed, they will simply drop it mid-season if it does poorly, and discontinue it after one season if it doesn’t have a tie-in product that earns the mouse any money.

  • wombat

If we’re really lucky (unlucky?) Capcom will release a game to go along with it, guaranteeing its first season going the whole way…

  • Bitterbear

The proportions are pretty much in line with this cancer:

    Same art direction even.

Megaman is dead and after this crap, sure he is crying in his tomb

  • Jumanji Joe

    “Ben 10”
    Into the trash it goes.

  • Nagato

It’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.

  • Lucky

    And… it’s down.

  • Neojames82

What the hell did they do to Ben?!

  • Lucky

Another CN styled comedy cash-in that relies on viewers to know what character they’re butchering.

  • I’m still angry that they did this to Motorcity. Thanks for reminding me.

  • dogmentation

    Don’t forget TRON:Uprising!
Cancelled in the middle of a major story arc!

  • NuclearKangaroo

boy i sure wonder what crazy gypsy did the megaman fans piss off to get cursed with this parade of blunders and failures

  • NuclearKangaroo

i feel Gumball is one of the very few shows airing nowadays that tries to have good animation

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYJAYUf1BN4

  • Lucky

It’s hardly airing anymore and it was already confirmed to be ending, along with Regular Show and Adventure Time.

So, that’s right, more space for Teen Titans Go!

  • TheOnceAndFutureKing

holy crap, it feels like just yesterday when I was watching Ben 10 back in fifth grade, now there is already a shitty reboot?

  • Fenrir007

    Anyone got a new link?

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

It’s either computer graphics or flash animation; both far more cheaper than good animation.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

    They fixed him.

  • sanic

Wow thought computers were supposed to improve animation…

  • Bozo, o Deus da Destruição

look as good as I thought it would be.

  • Bozo, o Deus da Destruição
  • MonsterGogo

So, where is this first look?

  • NuclearKangaroo

well Gumball uses good animation but they mix it up into something unique, the world of gumball is populated by cartoon characters animated in all kind of forms, there are stop motion characters, 2D characters, CGI characters, live action characters, puppets, etc

you should check it out, its seriously the best animated show ive ever seen, id say it approaches movie quality at times

  • NuclearKangaroo

Gumball isnt 100% confirmed to be ending, but i do think the ending is already written

hopefully OK K.O. and Infinity Train get greenlit, they look dope as hell, tough i believe both of those are almost guaranteed to have their series in either production or pre-production by now

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

You must haven’t seen many animated shows but yeah it’s pretty much the only worthwhile show airing on Cartoon Network at least until Justice League Action finally gets an actual airing time instead of fading in and out.

  • Snorlaxation

    Gross

  • NuclearKangaroo

“You must haven’t seen many animated shows”

nigga please, i know its trendy to diss all modern animation but lets be real here, can you name a single television cartoon with a more imaginative and high quality animation than The Amazing World of Gumball?

  • Sophieb5
  • No_Good_Names_Ever

    Animaniacs.

  • NuclearKangaroo

its good but come on, besides, depending on the animation studio, certain animaniacs episodes look very unimpressive

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

…You’re saying Gumball is better than Animaniacs?

  • NuclearKangaroo

no im saying that Gumball is better ANIMATED than the Animaniacs

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Gumball overly relies on CG and the characters that aren’t don’t have much detail to them.

  • NuclearKangaroo

how is CG any less valid as a form of animation, besides Gumball implements traditional animation, computer generated graphics, real life locations, live action and even stop motion to create its distinctive look

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Same reason Reboot is unwatchable today; it ages terribly.

  • NuclearKangaroo

i wouldnt say its unwatchable, either way the CG in Gumball is very stylized, it ages well, kinda like Toy Story 2 or A Bug’s Life

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

It may be possible for you but I couldn’t stand looking at it long.

  • NuclearKangaroo

well i can understand your position
