Gorgeous, Wuxia-Themed MMORPG Moonlight Blade Gets Western Release

Chinese behemoth Tencent recently held a fan-event for their wuxia-themed (martial arts) free-to-play MMORPG Moonlight Blade.

During the event, the publisher confirmed a western release for the game in North America and Europe, alongside the previously announced Nexon-published Korean version.

Alongside the western release comes a big update to the “Romantic Destiny” game, which adds new content, a new character class(es), various improvements and tweaks via fan feedback, and what appears to be a naval battle system.

Featured above, you can view a trailer that will give you an idea of the new content arriving in the sizable update.

Currently in open-beta, the game has been praised for its beautiful environments, fantastic combat animations, its massive promise, and that dedication to the wuxia style. Seriously if that above video doesn’t move you, I dunno what will.

Further details for the western release have not been announced, however we’ll keep you guys posted.

If you’re looking to get into the Chinese version of the game’s open beta, you should follow this handy tutorial on how to make a QQ account and properly install+update the game. You’ll need that QQ account, as all China-made games require it for authentication.
