New GRIP Trailer is Fast and Filled With Wubby Music

Caged Elements have been developing their intensely fast, arcade-y racer GRIP since their crowdfunding attempts went sour back towards the end of 2015. Despite their initial setback, the game is shaping up nicely and is something to behold when in motion.

Now, the developer has released a short but exhilarating new trailer (featured above), set to the music of Full Kontak – there’s lots of wub wubs in there for you kids. This is a stark comparison to a previous trailer for the game, set to the music of Strauss.

Here are the game’s key features: (as of v.1.1.7):

  • 4 vehicles (3 manufacturers), with paint job, rim and tire customization. 2 more cars coming in the next few patches!
  • 6 Game modes: Classic Race, Ultimate Race (overall points), Elimination, Time Trial, Arena (Deathmatch) & Carkour (similar to scramble mode in RCS2)
  • 7 Racetracks, 2 Arenas, 15 Carkour courses. (Some levels are still WIP)
  • 4 Weapons (Homing missile, machine gun, mine, leader rocket). More weapons on the way!
  • 3 Power-ups (Shield, Turbo, EMP)
  • 11 Ingame music tracks (mostly Drum n Bass, but also trance and techno)
  • Play single player (against AI) or Split-screen with a friend
  • Public Online Multiplayer coming soon!

You can find GRIP here on Steam Early Access.
