Even though I know it’s not wise, I wish I’d known about this game during it’s Kickstarter so I could of funded it. WayForward have proven themselves to be quite competent to say the least.

Awesome. I’m really looking forward to the game – it looks great and I do like platformers. I’ll probably get it for Vita since I’ll be away from my PS4 at the time. Cross buy/save would be a nice surprise.

EDIT: On second thought I may wait for the physical release.

I’ve had my copy pre-ordered for a while now. Good to know I’ll be playing it soon.

Last good game of the year. I hope the description for the Mighty No.9 costume is: “Better than nothing”

Shantae games are always high quality. Can’t wait for my backer code!

  • DariusQ

Damn. I was waiting for the physical copy which I was hoping would make it during the Christmas season. Oh well.

  • Can’t wait to play it on PC. But I have to play the the other games first.

I think cross save would be a given unless one version differs wildly from the other. Cross buy would be a pretty pleasant surprise though.

  • Mr0303

    I sure hope so.

I was a backer and got the game several days ago. The game was fun. Looking forward to the other character modes.

It goes without saying, but I do hope the new Shantae game turns out better than MN9. Still need to get the bitter taste out of my mouth on that one.

I’m disappointed that this game will be tainted by MN9, but I can’t blame WF for this.
Who could have known back then that it would be such a massive blunder in every way imaginable.

  • Nin

I was a backer and I got it already.

It’s pretty fun, but my poor toaster can’t play it at full speed.

You’re in for a treat. The first game’s got some weird design decisions, but is still great for a GBC game. Risky’s Revenge refines the gameplay, but it’s on the short side. Pirate’s Curse was the best thus far, and it looks like Half-Genie Hero is gonna surpass it.

To think this was Kickstarted at the same time that MNª9…
Took them half the money ad twice the time but you can’t argue with results
    Suck it Jewfune

Dont forget that Shantae had a alot less controversy behind it, aside from the minor skin color issue.

Could be worse: I knew about it, but still decided to fund Mighty No 9 instead…

Yeah… not one of my proudest moments.

Question do I have to play the previous games to play this one?

  • Mea K

I knew about it from the start, decided I wanted to back it almost immediately, then somehow forgot to actually do so until it was too late…

  • Robert

I have only played Pirate’s Curse and from what I gathered they are self contained story’s with some characters returning from previous games.
