Housemarque Reveals New Shooter Made in Collaboration with Eugene Jarvis, Nex Machina

Independent developer Housemarque (Resogun, Alienation) has announced their latest shooter: Nex Machina.

The PlayStation 4 game was revealed during this year’s PlayStation Experience and much like its predecessors, it’s a twin-stick shooter. Featured above, you can view the game’s debut trailer.

Nex Machina is a collaborative game between the team at Housemarque and Eugene Jarvis, the creator of Defender and Smash TV (which are essentially progenitors of the twin-stick genre).

The game has been known internally as “the Jarvis Project,” which roughly translates to Death Machine. Housemarque describes the experience as their “most explosive top-down shooter” yet, with a “true arcade experience.”
