Koei Tecmo has announced (via Games Jouhou) they’re bringing their Nobunaga’s Ambition series to the newly revealed Nintendo Switch.

The news comes via the publisher’s history-themed game livestream earlier this morning, where series general producer Kou Shibusawa confirmed their support for Nintendo’s new console.

Further details weren’t confirmed. Expect our review for Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension, the latest game in the series, forthcoming.

Interesting. I thought there was an embargo on Switch games.

Yeah, same. It didn’t stop games being announced before it was even revealed though. I guess there’ll be a drip feed of little announcements until the blowout in January then.

More games is good news for people interested in the Switch.

I think the embargo on both games and switch news was made so “leaks” blow up faster.

Think it’s probably just Nintendo being idiotically regressive as usual. They want to control the flow of information on NX… just for the sake of it, really. Even though a bunch of bigger third party announcements would no doubt do them good at this point, as it helps build momentum.

Of course, there’s the small chance they might be able to pull off a proper full media blowout on and after Jan 12… but as of right now I’m not willing to assume that Iwata’s departure was the only thing needed to right that ship.

    Switch was Iwata’s idea, genius.

Hasn’t this series been awful for like a decade straight though? Like, the OH Sphere of Influence was good but that’s about it right?
