Nintendo has announced a delay for their Pokemon Go Plus device.

The bluetooth device was originally set to release sometime at the end of this month – now the end of July is upon us, and Nintendo has announced a delay for the unit, worldwide. Now, fans will have to wait until sometime in September to get their hands on the peripheral.

For those who haven’t been in on the entire craze or the premise of this device: it connects to your phone via bluetooth and notifies you with a vibration / LED light if there are Pokemon or PokeStop’s nearby.

Once an item is nearby, you can swipe or tap to have it added to your inventory – for Pokemon, you need to press the button to throw a Poke Ball. There’s a caveat here, you can only use this to catch Pokemon you’ve already caught.

Pre-orders for Pokemon Go Plus have been sold out for awhile, however once it launches (and is presumably available at some later point) it will cost $34.99.
