Warhorse Studios has confirmed a delay for Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PC.

The game will be delayed to sometime later this year, to coincide with the game’s PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases.

“We still have a load of work ahead. Can’t confirm the release date now,” said the Warhorse Studios representative. “We want to announce it together with new release date, which we need to pin to the calendar yet. [We’re] Putting together too many pieces of the puzzle.”

Alongside the delayed release of the game is some good news –  Kingdom Come: Deliverance has now reached beta status, and you can buy your own place into the beta right now, starting at $50. If you backed the game on Kickstarter, you get instant access.

Previously, PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling made mention (via Eurogamer) of a deal with a major publisher that will see their game receiving a physical release. The downside to this is that the publisher’s deal will require them to launch the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions at the same time as they do the PC one, causing the release date to get pushed back.

Stolz-Zwilling does emphasize that none of this is set in stone and such an agreement has yet to be made. It remains to be seen if today’s delay is because of this possible deal, with said publisher.

The Eurogamer interview appeared alongside a 30 minute gameplay video which shows off some of Kingdom Come’s now completed features.
