Fallout 4 Mod Lets You Live Out Your Post-Apoc Life As A Stormtrooper

The first mod ever released for Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind was one that added Boba Fett’s armor into the game. For some strange reason, there has been a seemingly unspoken agreement that Star Wars themes eventually fill up every Bethesda game ever since. Continuing that long tradition is a new mod that, thanks to the work of four separate modders, allows you to play as an imperial stormtrooper.

The mod’s armor is a bit underwhelming though, with it merely being a re-texturing of the already available heavy combat armor you find in the later stages of the main quest. Regardless, the helmet, armor, sound effects and black vault suit mod all combine to create a fairly convincing look, provided you don’t mind “breaking lore”. Also, it should be noted this is based on the original trilogy’s trooper design, not the newer (and some would say, better looking) first order trooper armor.

The four parts you’ll need for the full effect are as follows:

Stormtrooper Armor by Stiptikspec

Stormtrooper Helmet by xxdeathknight72xx

Black Vaultsuit by shiz0

  • Zanard Bell

Looks nice, but does it spin?

  • Wisdomcube2000

But does it negatively effect your aim? I want the full Storm Trooper exp. of never EVER hitting anyone important.

Did I stumble onto Kotaku by accident?

  • Noah Howard

Nice! this looks… Hey, wait a minute! Where’s the boss that pays you to miss so he can find out where his enemies are hiding?

  • Urobolus

    slow day?

  • sanic

No if it was kotaku they’d insert references to tr-88 the storm trooper who says traitor in the newest starwars film, this is just showing off a mod in line with lots of starwars mods for beth games as mentioned in the first paragraph.

  • deadeye

I dunno, Fallout 3 vanilla and Fallout 3 with mods are like night and day.

Although Fallout 4 arguable has more things wrong with it.

  • Jack

Fallout 3 was more or less a broken heap of machinery, that bethesda laid out in front of a garage of people who knew what they were actually doing
4 is more akin to just shitting on the nice car that new neighbor obsidian got them for Christmas during the nuclear winter

  • Para-Medic

Somewhere around 185-197 mods I felt Skyrim was pretty enough to stop fast traveling everywhere. In the end I put 350 hours into just walking around completing random quests and doing whatever.

  • Para-Medic

Carl don’t listen to these cranky fucks. I enjoy your articles! Not everything has to be breaking news or a new reason to be shitting on SJW’s.

  • Para-Medic

This is a dumb post and I hope you know it.

If you’re looking for just strictly a news website you could try a million and a half other Video Game news outlets.

  • Para-Medic

Took me about 150 hours to get all the achievements from the PC version. I played with about 20 or so mods that were mostly QoL improvements or graphical. Honestly I have no desire to go back until all the DLC is out. Fallout 4 was a pretty depressing experience in seeing just how far Bethesda has fallen. I wouldn’t say it was the voiced protag that killed it for me, but the story telling in general is just so… shit. The voiced protag just made that problem more apparent by SEVERELY limiting your dialog options.

More like queue the jokes about you being an epic meme king, Carl.

  • Uncle Heffy

That’s really bad. Just wait until the GECK, please.

  • http://devixicus.flavors.me/ Chase Moran

To be fair, IGN made that mistake in their video. This article makes no mention of it, just includes said video.

  • Richard Miller

If it comes. Beth haven’t gave it a release date yet. And beth is known for not keeping their promises.

  • Uncle Heffy

There’s really no if with this. They said at e3 first quarter of 2016 for the GECK and the first DLC.

  • Richard Miller

Remember the Skyrim D.I.C.E. Summit 2012 Game Jam? Only like 30% of their promised DLCs came. I would not trust Beth promises.
