DC Universe Online is Heading to Xbox One in the Spring, PC/PS4 Cross-Play Incoming

We’ve learned (via NeoGAF) that DC Universe Online is not only still being supported by developer Daybreak Game Company, (formerly Sony Online Entertainment) it’s coming to Xbox One sometime this spring.

The news was confirmed by executive creative director Jens Andersen who confirmed the new port on a new Kinda Funny Games live stream. It’s worth mentioning that Xbox One players won’t be able to transfer an existing character, unfortunately.

Finally, the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game are getting cross-platform play, a feature that fans have been asking of with the PlayStation 3 and PC versions since .. the game’s PS3 and PC launch (literally) five years ago, today. Cross-platform play is coming to both PS4 and PC on January 25th.

DC Universe Online has been available across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

    Why is PS4/PC cross play an issue? Take so long?

    Do they still have that money cap where you have to use real money to pay escrow for temporary access to your full funds or subscribe monthly? If it weren’t for that I’d honestly buy all the expansions, but as it stands I hate playing the game with such a greedy restriction that makes me feel very limited. Free to play done poorly in my opinion.

    Umm…I already have that cross play feature between PS3/PC & PS4 meaning I can access my character’s from each with a same account so sound’s kinda odd??

    Unless you mean you can’t play with other player’s who use PC as a platform with PS4 users but that still sound’s odd :/
