A couple months ago, you may recall that we reported on how we’ve finally gotten a working Wii U emulator. Well it seems as though the guys behind the Cemu emulator have been quite busy.

Yesterday they uploaded their newest build, with comparison to the previous build as reference.

The video (which you can view above) uses Mario Kart 8 as their template, and the progress has been quite impressive.

Although far from perfect, the improvement over the last build is quite outstanding, with many of the textures now working with very minor graphical glitches. We might be able to emulate Wii U games perfectly in the not too distant at the rate they’ve been progressing at.
