Shame that Vita version won’t be coming.

Bloody shame as Ar Nosurge limited retail release sold out well.

  • artemisthemp

It wasn’t available in EU anyway

  • Some Gameplay footage for anyone who knows nothing about the game.

  • Phelan

I bought it…. and for a price of standard game (at least going by EU prices)

    So yeah…

  • MusouTensei

    Yes, awesome news!

  • OverlordZetta

Koei Tecmo EU tweeted out something like they’re trying to get the Vita version, but it does seem like it’s a no go. Shame that.

    At least it’s coming, though.

  • Mike Nieto

I hope it keeps the Japanese name, I just like how it sounds.

  • No Vita, no buy. The decision to not bring this over for Vita is moronic considering the outporing of people saying they want that version.

  • landlock

Seems like a Koei Japan decision then. :(

  • landlock

Shame about the other versions but hey it’s all good. Just want to play the game.

  • Nagato

And of course this of all of KT’s titles isn’t getting a PC release… really seems like they’re intentionally avoiding to make money on Steam.

  • Antoinant

    PC beggar race

  • Still no Ciel Nosurge localization. And now they even drop the vita version of this game… Do they even want us to support them?

  • FalseTragedian

After all of K-T’s support for the Vita this is extremely disappointing.

  • Antoinant

KT’s support for the Vita in the West was disappointing since the beginning though.

How so? We got 2 Atelier trilogies and several Musou games (although no Gundam Musou Next, that one hurt), both versions of Deception 4, and Ar Nosurge. This and Gundam Next are the only ones I was looking forward to that weren’t confirmed for Vita in US…

  • Antoinant

More the fact it has been pushing the whole digital-only buisness on Vita in the West (Atelier games, Deception IV Nightmare Princess, and Ar noSurge) though KT is not the only one doing it.

  • Booz

yeah this is one of those games that would do best on PC
they’re so clueless it’s frustrating to watch sometimes

  • Booz

I’m looking forward to the PS3 version the most because I’d rather enjoy the game with a bigger screen, but even a vita version would be nice too

    this makes “some” sense though
the PS4 has had amazing momentum worldwide, only Japan has been reluctant to adopt the next gen systems, the PS3 actually still outselling the PS4 and VITA games actually doing well there too

still though, there’s a sizable amount of people that haven’t made the jump yet worldwide

and besides that there’s the PC version some of us dream of happening

  • FalseTragedian

Digital only is a far cry from no support. We’ll be able to get a physical copy of Yoru but it’ll be in Japanese; I’d rather have it digital in English.

  • Raziel Barkrai

I’m guessing the reason why people haven’t made the jump yet (myself included) is that the PS4 has had a very slow and lackluster start in getting games. More people will get on board now that they can see games they like are coming.

  • Antoinant

Learning japanese ended up a smart move because I could get more games (as physicals too) and often at a lower price than the localizations themselves.

The problem with digital is that you’re dependant to the memory cards and you just own a digital licence. Downloading huge games on the Vita were a pain in the butt too.

  • NintendoNaut

We get to play the game in a glorious high resolution, with big TVs and sound systems on the PS4–But let’s whine about it because no Vita.

  • TheCynicalReaper

I’m glad it’s coming over, but the loss of a vita sale is sad.
Still, I’ve got games for the Vita already. I have all of two games for the PS4. That library needs to fill out. haha

  • dsadsada

On the plus side for me, I was planning on getting a PS4 at the end of the year anyway so this just helps justify the purchase further.

Although not being able to play this at my leisure which Vita games feel for me is really disappointing.

  • yeah sadly to see. So much for their Gust fanbase.

  • Sylveria Shini

Ar No Surge got a physical release in the US and there is a physical, Asia region release of Nightmare Princess with English subs. The Atelier games all getting dumped to digital only does suck though.

I’m not disputing your point, I’m opposed to pure digital as well, especially on a platform like the Vita which has such expensive and restrictive memory options, but if you’re going to condemn the company’s actions, I think you should be accurate about the complaint.
